The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and Sufyan once narrated it as a direct report, "Five practices are part of the natural disposition: circumcision, shaving the pubic hair, trimming the moustache, clipping the nails, and plucking the underarm hair."
حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري عن سعيد
أن رسول الله ﷺ وقال سفيان مرة رواية خمس من الفطرة الختان والاستحداد وقص الشارب وتقليم الأظفار ونتف الإبط
Its isnad is sahih. It has already appeared at 7139, narrated by Mamar from Zuhri. His saying "rawaya" (narrated) is also a way of attributing the hadith directly to the Prophet, carrying the same force as saying "the Messenger of Allah said."
