The Prophet ﷺ said, "The one who comes early to the Friday prayer is like one who offers a camel as a sacrifice. The one who comes after him is like one who offers a cow. The next is like one who offers a ram." He continued until he mentioned a chicken and an egg.
حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري عن سعيد
عن النبي ﷺ قال المهجر إلى الجمعة كالمهدي بدنة ثم الذي يليه كالمهدي بقرة والذي يليه كالمهدي كبشا حتى ذكر الدجاجة والبيضة
Its isnad is sahih, and we have cited it along with the one before it.Al-Muhajjir, with a damma on the mim, a fatha on the ha, and a doubled jim carrying a kasra, comes from tahjir, which means hastening to something and rushing toward it. See Mashariq by Qadi Iyad, 2:265.
