Naeem bin Dajaja reported,
Abu Masud Uqba bin Amr al-Ansari came in to visit Ali bin Abu Talib 
.Ali said to him, "Are you the one who says that a hundred years will not pass over the people while there is on the earth an eye that blinks? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ only said that a hundred years will not pass over the people while there is on the earth an eye that blinks among those alive today. By Allah, the hope of this nation lies beyond a hundred years."

Sahihحدثنا محمد بن سابق حدثنا إبراهيم بن طهمان عن منصور عن المنهال بن عمرو
عن نعيم بن دجاجة أنه قال
دخل أبو مسعود عقبة بن عمرو الأنصاري على علي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه فقال له علي أنت الذي تقول لا يأتي على الناس مائة سنة وعلى الأرض عين تطرف إنما قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يأتي على الناس مائة سنة وعلى الأرض عين تطرف ممن هو حي اليوم والله إن رجاء هذه الأمة بعد مائة عام
Its isnad is sahih. Muhammad bin Sabiq Tamimi Bazzar is trustworthy. Ibrahim bin Tahman, with a fatha on the ta and a sakin ha, is trustworthy and sahih in hadith. Mansur is Ibn Muutamir. Minhal bin Amr Asadi is trustworthy, though Shubah criticized him without solid grounds, and despite that Bukhari said in al-Kabir 4/2/12 that Mansur and Shubah both narrated from him. In al-Tahdheeb 10/393, it states that Ajurri reported from Abu Dawud that Mansur would only narrate from a trustworthy person. Nuaym bin Dajajah Asadi belongs to the early generation of the Tabiin. Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators, and Bukhari gave him a biographical entry in al-Kabir 4/2/98 without mentioning any criticism of him. The hadith will also appear again at 718.
