The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever kills another by mistake, his blood-money is one hundred camels. Thirty are bint makhad, thirty are bint laboon, thirty are jadhaah, and ten are male ibn laboon."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to assess their value according to the prices of camels. When camels were cheap, he reduced their value, and when they were expensive, he raised their value, according to the prevailing rates of the time. During the era of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, the value reached between four hundred and eight hundred Dinars, or its equivalent in silver, eight thousand dirhams.

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال من قتل خطأ فديته مائة من الإبل ثلاثون ابنة مخاض وثلاثون ابنة لبون وثلاثون جذعة وعشرة بني لبون ذكران فكان رسول الله ﷺ يقومها على أثمان الإبل فإذا هانت نقص من قيمتها وإذا غلت رفع في قيمتها على نحو الزمان ما كانت فبلغت على عهد رسول الله ﷺ ما بين أربع مائة دينار إلى ثمان مائة دينار أو عدلها من الورق ثمانية آلاف
