I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when deeds were mentioned. He said, "There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten."They asked, "Messenger of Allah, not even jihad?"He found their question striking and replied, "Not even jihad, except for a man who goes out himself with his wealth in the cause of Allah and then sacrifices his very life in it."
حدثنا يحيى بن آدم وأبو النضر قالا حدثنا زهير عن إبراهيم بن مهاجر عن عبد الله بن باباه
كنت عند رسول الله ﷺ فذكرت الأعمال فقال ما من أيام العمل فيهن أفضل من هذه العشر قالوا يا رسول الله ولا الجهاد قال فأكبره قال ولا الجهاد إلا أن يخرج رجل بنفسه وماله في سبيل الله ثم تكون مهجة نفسه فيه
