Abdullah bin Amr came to Ibn Zubayr while he was sitting in the Hijr and said, "Ibn Zubayr, beware of committing sacrilege in the sanctuary of Allah, for I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'A man from Quraysh will violate it and bring about its violation, and if his sins were weighed against the sins of mankind and jinn combined, his would outweigh them.' So take care that you are not the one, Ibn Amr, for you have read the scriptures and accompanied the Messenger ﷺ."Ibn Amr replied, "I call you to witness that I am setting out now for Sham as a fighter in the cause of Allah."
حدثنا هاشم حدثنا إسحاق يعني ابن سعيد
أتى عبد الله بن عمرو ابن الزبير وهو جالس في الحجر فقال يا ابن الزبير إياك والإلحاد في حرم الله فإني أشهد لسمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول يحلها ويحل به رجل من قريش لو وزنت ذنوبه بذنوب الثقلين لوزنتها قال فانظر أن لا تكون هو يا ابن عمرو فإنك قد قرأت الكتب وصحبت الرسول ﷺ قال فإني أشهدك أن هذا وجهي إلى الشأم مجاهدا
(10) The hadith will come at 7092 through the route of Muhammad bin Rashid from Sulayman bin Musa. Abu Dawud narrated it as part of the long hadith 4564, and Bayhaqi narrated it in abridged form at 8:91, both of them through the route of Muhammad bin Rashid as well.
