He placed his two fingers in his ears and said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'The Black Stone and the Maqam are two rubies from the rubies of Paradise. Allah erased their light, for had He not done so, they would have illuminated everything between the heavens and the earth,'" or, "everything between the east and the west."Thus did Yunus say, Raja bin Yahya, while Affan said, Raja Abu Yahya.

وأدخل إصبعيه في أذنيه لسمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إن الحجر والمقام ياقوتتان من ياقوت الجنة طمس الله نورهما لولا ذلك لأضاءتا ما بين السماء والأرض أو ما بين المشرق والمغرب كذا قال يونس رجاء بن يحيى وقال عفان رجاء أبو يحيى
