He did not attribute it to the Prophet the first two times. He said, I asked him a third time, and he said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The time for the noon prayer is until the afternoon prayer arrives. The time for the afternoon prayer is until the sun turns yellow. The time for the sunset prayer is until the twilight glow disappears. The time for the night prayer is until midnight. And the time for the dawn prayer is until the sun rises."

لم يرفعه مرتين قال وسألته الثالثة فقال قال رسول الله ﷺ وقت صلاة الظهر ما لم يحضر العصر ووقت صلاة العصر ما لم تصفر الشمس ووقت صلاة المغرب ما لم يسقط نور الشفق ووقت صلاة العشاء إلى نصف الليل ووقت صلاة الفجر ما لم تطلع الشمس
Its isnad is sahih. It has already been given at length under 6966, in the narration of Abdul-Samad from Hammam from Qatada, with this same isnad, as a raised (marfu) report, with no hesitation about raising it. The one who says he did not raise it consistently, and so on, is Shuba, reporting this about Qatada. Tayalisi related it under 2249 from Shuba and Hammam, both from Qatada, as marfu, and he mentioned it in brief as it appears here, except that he gave it in the wording of Hammam's narration. Tayalisi then said, Shuba said, "Sometimes he raises it, and sometimes he does not raise it." In any case the hadith is sahih, and the raising of it is an accepted addition from a reliable narrator.
