The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Any slave who enters into a contract of manumission for one hundred ounces and pays all of it except ten ounces, then becomes unable to pay the rest, remains a slave."
حدثنا يحيى بن زكريا بن أبي زائدة أخبرنا حجاج
قال رسول الله ﷺ أيما عبد كوتب على مائة أوقية فأداها إلا عشر أواق ثم عجز فهو رقيق
