The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the Muslim servant falls ill, it is said to the angel who records his deeds, 'Write down for him the equivalent of what he used to do when he was free of illness, until I take his soul or release him from his sickness.'"Abu Bakr said, Asim and Abu Husayn both narrated this to us.
حدثنا أسود بن عامر حدثنا أبو بكر يعني ابن عياش قال دخلنا على أبي حصين نعوده ومعنا عاصم قال قال أبو حصين لعاصم تذكر حديثا حدثناه القاسم بن مخيمرة قال قال نعم إنه حدثنا يوما
قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا اشتكى العبد المسلم قيل للكاتب الذي يكتب عمله اكتب له مثل عمله إذ كان طليقا حتى أقبضه أو أطلقه قال أبو بكر حدثنا به عاصم وأبو حصين جميعا

Its isnad is sahih. Abu Husayn, with fatha on the ha and kasra on the sad, is Uthman bin Aasim Asadi, whose reliability was established earlier at 1024 and 6826. Aasim is Ibn Bahdala, who is Ibn Abu Najud, with fatha on the nun, the well-known reciter. The hadith has appeared many times before, by way of Qasim bin Mukhaymara at 6482, 6825, 6826, and 6870. Its meaning has also appeared before from another route at 6895.
