Abu Bakr asked, "Messenger of Allah, how can there be any righteousness after this verse?"He replied, "May Allah have mercy on you, Abu Bakr. Do you not fall ill? Do you not grieve? Do you not suffer hardship?"Abu Bakr answered, "Yes, indeed."The Prophet ﷺ said, "That is the recompense for it."
