Ali bin Abu Talib reported,

I went out and came to a garden. The owner said, "A bucket drawn for a single date." So I lowered the bucket until I had filled my palm with dates. Then I went to the water and drank till I was satisfied, then I came to the Prophet ﷺ and fed him some of the dates and ate the rest myself.

ي خرجت فأتيت حائطا قال فقال دلو بتمرة قال فدليت حتى ملأت كفي ثم أتيت الماء فاستعذبت يعني شربت ثم أتيت النبي ﷺ فأطعمته بعضه وأكلت أنا بعضه
