The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Three kinds of people attend the Friday prayer. A man who attends it with supplication and prayer, that is a man who has called upon his Lord, who may grant him his request or withhold it as He wills. A man who attends it in silence and attentive listening, that is its true right. And a man who attends it engaged in idle talk, that is his share of it."

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال يحضر الجمعة ثلاثة رجل حضرها بدعاء وصلاة فذلك رجل دعا ربه إن شاء أعطاه وإن شاء منعه ورجل حضرها بسكوت وإنصات فذلك هو حقها ورجل يحضرها يلغو فذلك حظه منها
