The sun was eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and a call was made announcing that the prayer would be held in congregation. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed two bowings within a single unit of prayer, then stood and performed two more bowings within another unit, after which the sun cleared.Ayesha said, "I never made a prostration nor a bowing longer than that."

كسفت الشمس على عهد رسول الله ﷺ فنودي بالصلاة جامعة فركع رسول الله ﷺ ركعتين في سجدة ثم قام فركع ركعتين في سجدة ثم جلي عن الشمس قال قالت عائشة ما سجدت سجودا قط ولا ركعت ركوعا قط كان أطول منه
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Muawiya is Shayban bin Abdul-Rahman Nahwi. The hadith was narrated by Bukhari 2:446 from Abu Naeem from Shayban, and by Muslim 1:250 from Muhammad bin Rafi from Abu Nadr, who is Hashim bin Qasim, Ahmad's teacher here, from Shayban, with this isnad. A similar version will come through the narration of Muawiya bin Salam from Yahya bin Abu Kathir, 7046. See also 6483, 6517. The explanation of the grammar in "the prayer is about to begin" was given earlier in the commentary on 6503.As for the statement, "and Ayesha said," and so on, Hafiz said in Fath (Bari), the speaker, in my estimation, is Abu Salama. It is also possible that it is Abdullah bin Amr, in which case it would be a narration of one companion from another companion. Whoever claimed that it is a suspended narration is mistaken, for Muslim, Ibn Khuzayma, and others narrated it through Abu Salama from Abdullah bin Amr, and it contains this statement of Ayesha.
