I came in to see the Prophet ﷺ while he was performing his ablution slowly and carefully. He raised his head, looked at me, and said, "Six things await you, O community. The death of your Prophet ﷺ."It was as if my heart was torn from its place.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "That is one."He continued, "Wealth will pour in among you, so that a man will be given ten thousand and still keep grumbling about it."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "That is two."He continued, "A trial that will enter the house of every one of you."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "That is three."He continued, "A death like the plague that strikes sheep."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "That is four. And a truce between you and the Banu al-Asfar, but they will gather against you for nine months, the length of a woman's pregnancy, then they will be the first to betray it."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "That is five."He continued, "And the conquest of a city."The Messenger of Allah said, "That is six."I asked, "Messenger of Allah, which city?"He replied, "Constantinople."
حدثنا حسن حدثنا خلف يعني ابن خليفة عن أبي جناب عن أبيه
دخلت على النبي ﷺ وهو يتوضأ وضوءا مكيثا فرفع رأسه فنظر إلي فقال ست فيكم أيتها الأمة موت نبيكم ﷺ فكأنما انتزع قلبي من مكانه قال رسول الله ﷺ واحدة قال ويفيض المال فيكم حتى إن الرجل ليعطى عشرة آلاف فيظل يتسخطها قال رسول الله ﷺ ثنتين قال وفتنة تدخل بيت كل رجل منكم قال رسول الله ﷺ ثلاث قال وموت كقعاص الغنم قال رسول الله ﷺ أربع وهدنة تكون بينكم وبين بني الأصفر ليجمعون لكم تسعة أشهر كقدر حمل المرأة ثم يكونون أولى بالغدر منكم قال رسول الله ﷺ خمس قال وفتح مدينة قال رسول الله ست قلت يا رسول الله أي مدينة قال قسطنطينية

Its chain is daif, due to the weakness of Abu Janab Kalbi, whose name was Yahya bin Abu Hayya. The hadith is found in Majma al-Zawaid 7:321–322, where it says, Ahmad and Tabarani narrated it, and it contains Abu Janab Kalbi, who is a mudallis.Mukaithan, with a fatha on the mim, a kasra on the kaf, and a tha with three dots. Ibn Athir said, it means slow and deliberate, not hasty. And al-makth [meaning with a fatha or a damma on the mim] means staying with waiting and lingering in a place.Quaas al-ghanam, with a damma on the qaf, a light unmarked ain, and ending in an unmarked sad. Ibn Athir said, it is a disease that strikes sheep, killing them without delay.Yajmauna lakum, in Ha it is li-yajmauna, though the lam is not present in Kaf and Meem, and in the Zawaid it is fa-yajmauna.
