I entered a mosque in Sham and prayed two rak'ahs, then sat down. An elderly man came and prayed toward one of the pillars, and when he finished, people gathered around him.I asked, "Who is this?"They replied, "Abdullah bin Amr."Then a messenger from Yazid bin Muawiya came to him, and he said, "This one wants to prevent me from narrating to you. Your Prophet ﷺ said, 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from a soul that is never satisfied, a heart that is not humble, knowledge that does not benefit, and a supplication that is not heard. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from these four.'"

دخلت مسجدا بالشام فصليت ركعتين ثم جلست فجاء شيخ يصلي إلى السارية فلما انصرف ثاب الناس إليه فسألت من هذا فقالوا عبد الله بن عمرو فأتى رسول يزيد بن معاوية فقال إن هذا يريد أن يمنعني أن أحدثكم وإن نبيكم ﷺ قال اللهم إني أعوذ بك من نفس لا تشبع وقلب لا يخشع ومن علم لا ينفع ومن دعاء لا يسمع اللهم إني أعوذ بك من هؤلاء الأربع
