I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The best of its women is Maryam, daughter of Imran, and the best of its women is Khadijah."
قال حدثنا عبد الله بن نمير حدثنا هشام عن أبيه عن عبد الله بن جعفر
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول خير نسائها مريم بنت عمران وخير نسائها خديجة
Its isnad is sahih. Hisham is Ibn Urwa bin Zubayr. Abdullah bin Jafar is the son of Jafar bin Abu Talib. Bukhari related the hadith at 6:3739 and 7:100-101 of Fath, and Muslim also related it at 2:243, as did Tirmidhi at 4:365.Regarding "its women," Fath states that Qurtubi said, the pronoun refers to something not explicitly mentioned, but the context and observable reality clarify it, meaning by it the world. I say, in Muslim's version, from the narration of Waki from Hisham in this hadith, Waki pointed to the sky and the earth. It seems he intended to clarify that what was meant was the women of this world, and that both pronouns refer to this world.
