I witnessed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he ordered the two of them to be stoned. When they were being stoned, I saw him shielding her with his hands to protect her from the stones.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا معمر عن الزهري عن سالم
شهدت رسول الله ﷺ حين أمر برجمهما فلما رجما رأيته يجانئ بيديه عنها ليقيها الحجارة

Its isnad is sahih. It has already gone by at length with its story at 4498, and has gone by both briefly and at length at 4529, 4666, 5276, 5300, 5459.His saying, "al-Majani" means he leans over it and inclines toward it. It is with jim and nun, as in H and M, while in K and the margin copy of M it is "al-Mujafi" with jim and fa.
