Nafi reported,

Ibn Umar would sometimes send for his evening meal while fasting, and it would be brought to him just as the call to the Maghrib prayer was being made. Then the prayer would be called to commence while he could hear it, yet he would not abandon his meal nor rush through it. He would finish eating at his own pace, then go out and pray.He used to say, "The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, 'Do not rush away from your evening meal when it has been served to you.'"
