When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat during the prayer, he would place his hands on his knees and raise the finger of his right hand next to the thumb, supplicating with it, while his left hand rested on his left knee, spread out upon it.
Its isnad is sahih. Muslim narrated it, 1:162, through the route of Abdul-Razzaq, with this same isnad. The hadith is given at greater length at 6103, and see also 5421 and 6100.His statement, "on his knee," in kh it reads, "on his two knees," which is a clear error. We corrected it from k. This was not mentioned at all in m, which is also an error on the part of the copyist. In Muslim it reads, "on his left knee."
