The Prophet ﷺ said, "When one of you invites his brother, let him accept the invitation, whether it is a wedding feast or something like it."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا معمر عن أيوب عن نافع
عن النبي ﷺ قال إذا دعا أحدكم أخاه فليجبه عرسا كان أو نحوه
Its isnad is sahih. Muslim reported it, 1:407, from Muhammad bin Rafi, and Abu Dawud, 3:395, from Hasan bin Ali, both of them from Abdul-Razzaq, with this isnad. Hafiz mentioned this narration in Fath al-Bari, 9:213, as reported by Muslim and Abu Dawud. Its meaning has already come before in brief form on several occasions, without mentioning the wedding or anything similar, the first of them being 4712 and the last 6108, and see 6106.
