The Messenger of Allah ﷺ continued his fast through the night during Ramadan without breaking it. When people saw him doing this, they began to do the same, but he forbade them.It was said to him, "But you yourself practice continuous fasting."He replied, "I am not like you. I am fed and given drink."
حدثنا ابن نمير حدثنا عبيد الله عن نافع
أن رسول الله ﷺ واصل في رمضان فرآه الناس فنهاهم فقيل له إنك تواصل فقال إني لست مثلكم إني أطعم وأسقى
