The Messenger of Allah ﷺ designated Dhul Hulayfah as the place where the people of Madinah enter the state of ihram, al-Juhfah for the people of Sham, Qarn for the people of Najd, and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen.Someone asked him, "What about the people of Iraq?"He replied, "There was no Iraq at that time."
Its isnad is sahih. Jareer is Ibn Humayd Dabbi Razi, whose reliability was established earlier at 1557, and it should be added here that Bukhari mentioned his biography in Al-Kabir 1/2/214. The hadith is a repetition of 4584, and appears at greater length at 5492, from this same route, the narration of Sadaqah from Ibn Umar. Its meaning has already been given several times through other routes, both at length and in brief, including at 5111, 2140, and 2192.
