Abdullah bin Umar reported,

I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ using a tooth-stick, and he gave it to the eldest of the group, saying, "Jibreel ﷺ commanded me to give precedence to the elder."

حدثنا يعمر بن بشر حدثنا عبد الله يعني ابن مبارك قال قال أسامة بن زيد حدثني نافع أن

رأيت رسول الله ﷺ وهو يستن فأعطى أكبر القوم وقال إن جبريل ﷺ أمرني أن أكبر
