Ibn Umar sent me on an errand and said, "Come, let me bid you farewell as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ bid me farewell when he sent me on an errand for him. He said, 'I entrust to Allah your religion, your trust, and the final outcomes of your deeds.'"
Its isnad is sahih, though there is an error in the name of the sheikh from whom Abdul-Aziz bin Umar narrated, who here is given as Yahya bin Ismail bin Jareer. We established as more likely, in 4957, that he is Ismail bin Jareer, and that the addition of Yahya is an error, either from Abu Naeem or from Abdul-Aziz bin Umar himself. We pointed to this narration there, and see also 5605.
