The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in the evening prayer, the one people call al-atamah, then he turned to face us and said, "Do you see this night of yours? At the head of one hundred years from it, no one who is on the face of the earth today will remain alive."
Its isnad is sahih, and it is a shortened version of 6028. As for Ibn Umar's statement, "which is the one people call al-atamah," he only said this out of his reluctance to name it that way, since he himself had reported the Prophet's ﷺ prohibition against calling it by that name, as has already passed at 4572, 4688, 5100.As for his statement "araaytum," in K it reads "araaytakum," and this is also the reading given in the margin of M.
