The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood at Arafa with Usama bin Zayd mounted behind him and said, "This is a place of standing, but all of Arafa is a place of standing." Then he set off, moving at a steady pace while the people were striking their mounts to the right and left. He kept turning toward them and saying, "Calmly, people. Calmly, people," until he reached Muzdalifa, where he combined the two prayers.Then he stood at Muzdalifa, mounting Fadl bin Abbas behind him, and stood at Quzah and said, "This is a place of standing, but all of Muzdalifa is a place of standing." Then he set off, moving at a steady pace while the people were striking their mounts to the right and left. He kept turning toward them and saying, "Calmly, people. Calmly, people."When he reached Muhassir, he prodded his mount, which trotted with him until he came out of the valley. Then he continued his journey until he reached the jamrah, then he entered the place of sacrifice and said, "This is the place of sacrifice, but all of Mina is a place of sacrifice."Then he mentioned the like of the hadith of Ahmad bin Abdah from Mughira bin Abdul-Rahman, the same or similar to it.
حدثنا عبد الله حدثنا سويد بن سعيد في سنة ست وعشرين ومائتين حدثنا مسلم بن خالد الزنجي قال أبو عبد الرحمن قلت لسويد ولم سمي الزنجي قال كان شديد السواد عن عبد الرحمن بن الحارث عن زيد بن علي بن الحسين عن أبيه عن عبيد الله بن رافع
أن رسول الله ﷺ وقف بعرفة وهو مردف أسامة بن زيد فقال هذا موقف وكل عرفة موقف ثم دفع فجعل يسير العنق والناس يضربون يمينا وشمالا وهو يلتفت ويقول السكينة أيها الناس السكينة أيها الناس حتى جاء المزدلفة فجمع بين الصلاتين ثم وقف بالمزدلفة فأردف الفضل بن عباس ثم وقف على قزح فقال هذا الموقف وكل المزدلفة موقف ثم دفع فجعل يسير العنق والناس يضربون يمينا وشمالا وهو يلتفت ويقول السكينة أيها الناس السكينة أيها الناس فلما وقف على محسر قرع راحلته فخبت به حتى خرجت من الوادي ثم سار مسيرته حتى أتى الجمرة ثم دخل المنحر فقال هذا المنحر وكل منى منحر فذكر مثل حديث أحمد بن عبدة عن المغيرة بن عبد الرحمن مثله أو نحوه
