The Prophet ﷺ used to wear the stone of his ring on the inner side of his palm.
حدثنا محمد بن يزيد الواسطي عن عبد الحميد بن جعفر الأنصاري عن نافع
عن النبي ﷺ أنه كان يجعل فص خاتمه مما يلي بطن كفه
Its isnad is sahih. Muhammad bin Yazid Wasiti, his reliability was already established at 1689, and we add here that Bukhari included his biography in al-Kabir 1/1/260 and said, Ali bin Hajar told me, "Muhammad used to govern Khawlan. What an excellent shaykh he was."The hadith is a repetition of 5583 with this same isnad. It is also an abridgment of 6107.
