Ati said, I asked Ibn Umar, "How is the prayer of the traveler, Abu Abdul-Rahman?"He replied, "If you follow the way of your Prophet ﷺ, I will tell you. But if you do not follow the way of your Prophet ﷺ, I will not tell you."We said, "The best of ways is the way of our Prophet ﷺ, Abu Abdul-Rahman."He said, "Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left this city, he would not pray more than two units until he returned to it."

سألت ابن عمر كيف صلاة المسافر يا أبا عبد الرحمن فقال أما أنتم فتتبعون سنة نبيكم ﷺ أخبرتكم وأما أنتم لا تتبعون سنة نبيكم لم أخبركم قال قلنا فخير السنن سنة نبينا ﷺ يا أبا عبد الرحمن فقال كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا خرج من هذه المدينة لم يزد على ركعتين حتى يرجع إليها
