I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The upper hand is better than the lower hand."Ibn Umar said, "So I never asked Umar, nor anyone else, for anything."

سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول اليد العليا خير من اليد السفلى قال ابن عمر فلم أسأل عمر فمن سواه من الناس
Its isnad is sahih. Ishaq bin Saeed bin Amr bin Saeed bin As bin Saeed bin As bin Umaya, his reliability was established earlier and his lineage was mentioned in 5680. An error occurred here regarding this in all three original manuscripts. In H and M, it reads "Ishaq bin Saeed from Amr bin Saeed bin As," using "from" instead of "bin" between Saeed and Amr, which is a clear error. In K, it reads "Ishaq bin Saeed from Amr from Ibn Umar," which is also an error, compounded by the omission of the rest of the lineage. The marfu hadith is abridged in 5728.However, his statement here, "Ibn Umar said, so I did not ask..." and so on, I have not found anywhere else but this location. See 4474 and 5680.
