He was asked about nabidh prepared in earthenware jars, and he replied, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade it."The narrator said, I then went to Ibn Abbas and told him, "I asked Abu Abdul-Rahman about nabidh prepared in earthenware jars, and he said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade it."Ibn Abbas said, "Abu Abdul-Rahman has spoken the truth."I asked, "What is the jarr?"He answered, "Anything made of clay."
حدثنا أسود حدثنا أبان عن قتادة عن سعيد بن جبير
أنه سئل عن نبيذ الجر فقال حرمه رسول الله ﷺ قال فأتيت ابن عباس فقلت له سألت أبا عبد الرحمن عن نبيذ الجر فقال حرمه رسول الله ﷺ قال صدق أبو عبد الرحمن قال قلت ما الجر قال كل شيء من مدر
