The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered me to distribute his sacrificial camels and to oversee their slaughter, and to distribute their hides and saddle-cloths. He instructed me not to give the butcher any part of them as payment, saying, "We will pay him from our own resources."
حدثنا سفيان عن عبد الكريم عن مجاهد عن ابن أبي ليلى
أمرني رسول الله ﷺ أن أقسم بدنه أقوم عليها وأن أقسم جلودها وجلالها وأمرني أن لا أعطي الجازر منها شيئا وقال نحن نعطيه من عندنا
Its isnad is sahih. Abdul-Kareem is Ibn Malik Jazari. The hadith was also narrated by Shaykhan, and it is in al-Muntaqa 2753. It will come again, abridged and in full, at 897, 1002, 1003, and see 2359 in the Musnad of Ibn Abbas.
