I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "If a person in the state of ihram cannot find sandals, let him wear leather socks, but he should cut them so they fall below the ankles."

سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول إذا لم يجد المحرم النعلين فليلبس الخفين يقطعهما أسفل من الكعبين
