Abu Ubayd reported,

Then I witnessed Ali bin Abu Talib afterwards on the day of Eid. He began with the prayer before the sermon and prayed without any call to prayer or iqamah. Then he said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid that anyone keep any of his sacrificial meat for more than three days."

عن أبي عبيد مولى عبد الرحمن بن عوف قال

ثم شهدت علي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه بعد ذلك يوم عيد بدأ بالصلاة قبل الخطبة وصلى بلا أذان ولا إقامة ثم قال سمعت رسول الله ﷺ نهى أن يمسك أحد من نسكه شيئا فوق ثلاثة أيام
