Abdullah bin Umar reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to give Umar gifts, and Umar would say to him, "Messenger of Allah, give it to someone more in need of it than I am."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Take it and either keep it as your property or give it away in charity. Whatever comes to you of this wealth without your craving for it or asking for it, take it. As for what does not come to you, do not let your soul reach out for it."Salim said, "For this reason, Ibn Umar would never ask anyone for anything, nor would he refuse anything given to him."
