We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when a man said, "Allah is the Greatest, abundantly. Praise be to Allah, abundantly. Glory be to Allah, morning and evening."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Who said those words?"The man replied, "I did."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, I watched them ascend until the gates of heaven were opened for them."Ibn Umar said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, I have never abandoned those words since I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say this."Awn said, "I have never abandoned them since I heard them from Ibn Umar."
حدثنا حسن بن موسى حدثنا ابن لهيعة حدثنا أبو الزبير أخبرنا عون بن عبد الله أنه
كنا جلوسا مع رسول الله ﷺ فقال رجل الله أكبر كبيرا والحمد لله كثيرا وسبحان الله بكرة وأصيلا فقال رسول الله ﷺ من قال الكلمات فقال الرجل أنا فقال رسول الله ﷺ والذي نفسي بيده إني لأنظر إليها تصعد حتى فتحت لها أبواب السماء فقال ابن عمر والذي نفسي بيده ما تركتها منذ سمعت رسول الله ﷺ وقال عون ما تركتها منذ سمعتها من ابن عمر
