The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to stop at Dhu Tuwa and spend the night there, performing the dawn prayer there when he arrived at Makkah. The place where the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed was upon a rough, rugged mound, not in the mosque that was later built there, but lower down, on a coarse, rugged mound.
وقال نافع إن
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان ينزل بذي طوى يبيت به حتى يصلي صلاة الصبح حين قدم إلى مكة ومصلى رسول الله ﷺ ذلك على أكمة غليظة ليس في المسجد الذي بني ثم ولكن أسفل من ذلك على أكمة خشنة غليظة
