A slave girl was tending sheep belonging to the family of Kaab bin Malik al-Ansari when she feared that one of the sheep was about to die. She took a stone and slaughtered it with it. This was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ, and he instructed them to eat it.
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد الأموي عن يحيى يعني ابن سعيد أخبرني نافع أن
أن جارية كانت ترعى لآل كعب بن مالك الأنصاري غنما لهم وأنها خافت على شاة من الغنم أن تموت فأخذت حجرا فذبحتها به وأن ذلك ذكر للنبي ﷺ فأمرهم بأكلها
