I prayed with Ibn Umar at Muzdalifah. He gave the iqamah and prayed Maghrib in three units, then prayed Isha in two units with a single iqamah.Khalid bin Malik asked him about this, and he replied, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do the same thing in this very place."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة سمعت أبا إسحاق يحدث أنه سمع
صليت مع ابن عمر بجمع فأقام فصلى المغرب ثلاثا ثم صلى العشاء ركعتين بإقامة واحدة قال فسأله خالد بن مالك عن ذلك فقال رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يصنع مثل هذا في هذا المكان
