The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not prevent your women from going to the mosques, though their homes are better for them."A son of Abdullah bin Umar said, "By Allah, we will indeed prevent them."Ibn Umar said to him, "You hear me reporting from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and yet you say what you say?"
حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا العوام أخبرني حبيب بن أبي ثابت
عن النبي ﷺ قال لا تمنعوا نساءكم المساجد وبيوتهن خير لهن قال فقال ابن لعبد الله بن عمر بلى والله لنمنعهن فقال ابن عمر تسمعني أحدث عن رسول الله ﷺ وتقول ما تقول
Its isnad is sahih. Awwam is Ibn Hawshab, whose reliability was established earlier at 1228, and it should be added here that Ahmad said, "Reliable, reliable," and Bukhari included his biography in Al-Kabir 4/1/67.Habib bin Abu Thabit, Abu Yahya, whose reliability was established earlier at 741 and 1248, and it should be added here that Ibn Main said, "Reliable, an authority," and Ajli said, "He was reliable and firm in hadith. He heard something from Ibn Umar and from Ibn Abbas. He was learned in jurisprudence, and he was the mufti of Kufa before Hakam and Hammad." Bukhari included his biography in Al-Kabir 1/2/211 and said, "He heard from Ibn Abbas and Ibn Umar." The hadith is given at length. 5211
