The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade a person in the state of ihram from wearing a garment dyed with wars or saffron. He said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever does not have sandals should wear leather socks, but let him cut them so they fall below the ankles."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا عبد العزيز بن مسلم عن عبد الله بن دينار
أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى أن يلبس المحرم ثوبا صبغ بورس أو زعفران وقال قال رسول الله ﷺ من لم يكن له نعلان فليلبس الخفين وليقطعهما أسفل من الكعبين
Its isnad is sahih, and it is a repeat of 5336. From Abdullah bin Dinar, and in a copy in the margin of M, "Abdullah bin Dinar narrated to us" is an addition, [he said] is from a copy in the margin of M. "Below the ankles," and in a copy in the margin of M, "until they are below the ankles."
