Musa bin Talha reported,
I heard Uthman bin Affan 
while he was on the pulpit and the muezzin was calling the iqamah for prayer, asking the people for news and inquiring about their affairs and the prices in the market.

سمعت عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه وهو على المنبر والمؤذن يقيم الصلاة وهو يستخبر الناس يسألهم عن أخبارهم وأسعارهم
