A man spoke harshly to Abu Bakr al-Siddiq , so Abu Barza said, "Shall I strike off his neck?"Abu Bakr rebuked him sharply and said, "This is not for anyone after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
The isnad is sahih. Tawba is spelled with the two-dotted ya, while in kh (a manuscript variant) it appears with the three-dotted letter, which is a scribal error. He is Tawba bin Abu Asad Kaysan Anbari, whose kunya is Abu Muwarri (with the ra doubled and vowelled with a kasra), a trustworthy narrator, and he is the grandfather of Abbas bin Abdul-Azim Anbari.Abu Sawwar is Abdullah bin Qudama bin Anza Anbari Basri, the father of Sawwar the chief judge, and he too is trustworthy.Hafiz noted in Tahdhib 5:261 that this hadith was narrated by Nasai, and Hakim graded it sahih in Mustadrak.
