He was asked about a man who divorced his wife while she was menstruating, and he replied, "It is not permissible. Ibn Umar divorced his wife while she was menstruating, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered him to take her back, so he took her back."

وسئل عن رجل طلق امرأته وهي حائض فقال لا يجوز طلق ابن عمر امرأته وهي حائض فأمره رسول الله ﷺ أن يراجعها فراجعها
Its isnad is sahih, even though it appears at first glance to be a mursal narration, because Salim answered the questioner by recounting his father's story without stating that he was narrating it from his father. But in reality it is connected, because Salim is narrating this from his father, as has been established repeatedly in the Musnad, the closest instance being 5270.
