He gave the call to prayer for the evening prayer at Dajnan one night, then immediately afterward said, "Pray in your dwellings." He then informed us that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to instruct a caller to say, "Pray in your dwellings," on a cold or rainy night while traveling.
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن عبيد الله أخبرني نافع
أنه أذن بضجنان ليلة العشاء ثم قال في إثر ذلك ألا صلوا في الرحال وأخبرنا أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يأمر مؤذنا يقول ألا صلوا في الرحال في الليلة الباردة أو المطيرة في السفر
