I said to Ibn Umar, "Anas told us that the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Here I am for an Umra and a Hajj.'"Ibn Umar replied, "What does Anas know? The Prophet ﷺ set out and made the talbiya for Hajj alone, and we made the talbiya along with him. When he arrived, he ordered those who had not brought sacrificial animals with them to make it an Umra."The narrator said, I mentioned this to Anas, and he responded, "You consider us nothing but children."
حدثنا سهل بن يوسف عن حميد
قلت لابن عمر إن أنسا أخبرنا أن النبي ﷺ قال لبيك بعمرة وحج قال وهل أنس خرج فلبى بالحج ولبينا معه فلما قدم أمر من لم يكن معه الهدي أن يجعلها عمرة قال فذكرت ذلك لأنس فقال ما تعدونا إلا صبيانا
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Sahl bin Yusuf Anmati is one of Ahmad's teachers, and his lineage will also be given at 12858 as Musmai, and he was likewise identified this way among Ahmad's teachers by Ibn Jawzi in al-Manaqib. He is trustworthy, deemed reliable by Ibn Main, Nasai, and others, and Bukhari gave his biography in al-Kabir 2/2/103.Humayd is Humayd Tawil. Bakr is Bakr bin Abdullah Muzani. Here in the three original manuscripts it appears as "Humayd bin Bakr," which is a clear error, since none of the narrators of the six books or of al-Musnad bears this name. Moreover, it has been explicitly stated in the biography of Sahl bin Yusuf that he transmits from Humayd Tawil, and this very same hadith has already appeared from this same route at 4996, from Yazid bin Harun, from Humayd, from Bakr, correctly.
