Yala said, I performed tawaf with Uthman and we touched the corner. Yala continued, I was on the side closer to the House, and when we reached the western corner adjacent to the Black Stone, I pulled his hand so he would touch it.He asked, "What is the matter with you?"I said, "Will you not touch it?"He replied, "Did you not perform tawaf with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"I said, "Yes."He asked, "Did you see him touch these two western corners?"I said, "No."He said, "Do you not have in him an excellent example?"I said, "Yes indeed."He said, "Then move on past it."
حدثنا محمد بن بكر أخبرنا ابن جريج أخبرني سليمان بن عتيق عن عبد الله بن بابيه
قال يعلى طفت مع عثمان فاستلمنا الركن قال يعلى فكنت مما يلي البيت فلما بلغنا الركن الغربي الذي يلي الأسود جررت بيده ليستلم فقال ما شأنك فقلت ألا تستلم قال فقال ألم تطف مع رسول الله ﷺ فقلت بلى قال أرأيته يستلم هذين الركنين الغربيين قلت لا قال أفليس لك فيه أسوة حسنة قلت بلى قال فانفذ عنك
