Abu Ubayd reported,

I saw Ali and Uthman performing the prayer on the day of Fitr and the day of Adha, then leaving and addressing the people with admonitions. He said, I heard them both say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade fasting on these two days. He said, I also heard Ali say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that any of the meat from your sacrifices remain with you after three days.

عن أبي عبيد مولى عبد الرحمن بن أزهر قال

رأيت عليا وعثمان رضي الله عنهما يصليان يوم الفطر والأضحى ثم ينصرفان يذكران الناس قال وسمعتهما يقولان إن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن صيام هذين اليومين قال وسمعت عليا يقول نهى رسول الله ﷺ أن يبقى من نسككم عندكم شيء بعد ثلاث
