A man called out to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, saying, "Messenger of Allah, how do you instruct us to pray during the night?"He replied, "Each of you should pray two units at a time. Then, when he fears the approach of dawn, let him pray a single unit, which will make all that he has prayed odd-numbered."
