Saeed bin Musayab reported,

I saw Uthman sitting on the benches. He called for food that had been touched by fire and ate it, then he stood up to pray and performed the prayer.Afterward, Uthman said, "I sat where the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat, ate the food the Messenger of Allah ate, and prayed the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."

حدثنا الوليد بن مسلم حدثني شعيب أبو شيبة قال سمعت عطاء الخراساني يقول سمعت

سعيد بن المسيب يقول

رأيت عثمان قاعدا في المقاعد فدعا بطعام مما مسته النار فأكله ثم قام إلى الصلاة فصلى ثم قال عثمان قعدت مقعد رسول الله ﷺ وأكلت طعام رسول الله وصليت صلاة رسول الله ﷺ
